Planning Web Designs (with James Box)

James Box (IA for uber-ace agency Clearleft) and I would like to talk to you fine patrons about planning websites. This would be a double session covering fundamentals of copy writing and information architecture with specific examples from projects we have worked on separately and together. Very often websites are thought of as primarily visual experiences so we will show that this is actually back-to-front and before the designer gets his/her grubby mitts on it, a whole heap of stuff should happen first to create something that is as useful as it is beautiful. We will specifically address issues faced by freelancers who are working with smaller clients and restricted budgets - not 'simply hire an army of staff and a research lab to do your bidding!'.
